Faith builds cast incantations, the most varied spell school in Elden Ring — healing, lightning, fire, buffs, beast attacks and more. That flexibility makes Faith one of the most rewarding archetypes to plan, but like any caster it needs a careful balance of casting stat, focus pool and survivability. The planning shape is close to an Intelligence caster, with Faith standing in for Intelligence as the damage stat. The differences lie in the sheer breadth of incantations and the fact that many Faith spells double as utility, which affects how much Mind you want.
Faith drives incantations and seals
Faith scales your incantations and the sacred seals that cast them, so it is your primary damage and utility stat. As with sorcery, spells cost FP, so Mind fuels the whole enterprise. Because Faith builds often mix damage incantations with buffs and heals, they can lean on FP heavily, which nudges Mind a little higher than a pure damage caster might need.

Balancing Vigor, Mind and Faith
The familiar rule applies: secure Vigor first. A Faith caster that ignores health is as fragile as any other, and many incantations require you to be at close-to-medium range, where getting hit is likely. Aim for 40 Vigor before you chase high Faith. Then size Mind to cover your rotation of damage and utility spells, and push Faith into its efficient scaling window.

Requirements and seal choice
Sacred seals and individual incantations have Faith requirements, and some incantations also demand Arcane or a second stat. Choosing a base class

Finishing the build

Many Faith players also run a Strength or Dexterity weapon alongside their seal, using incantations to buff the weapon or to cover ranged threats.
